Born in Switzerland in 1936, Andress has her place in history assured: She was the first Bond Girl, DR. NO's beach-romping Honey Ryder.

Andress's career peaked in the late '60s, with roles in the Woody Allen-scripted WHAT'S NEW, PUSSYCAT? and the quasi-Bond picture CASINO ROYALE; by the late '70s she'd bottomed out with SLAVE OF THE CANNIBAL GOD, in which she was stripped and painted by natives while searching for her husband in the New Guinea jungle.

Andress was featured on the '80s nighttime soap Falcon Crest and has appeared in some small European productions, but she has virtually dropped out of the entertainment business. Now based in Rome, she's the single mother of 13-year-old Dimitri, whose father is L.A. Law star Harry Hamlin (whom Andress met when they appeared together in 1981's mythological-monster-and-toga fest CLASH OF THE TITANS).
